I was so keen to try this recipe, as I've been on the candida diet for a year or so, still avoiding refined sugars. I -just- had a taste of it, and was a little disappointed.

However, it may have been on my part. Selecting a better brand of coconut milk may help out, I may reduce the amount of coconut milk and increase the strawberries.

It did smell delicious and the texture was great (I churned mine by hand). I'm not quite ready to give up on this recipe ;) I think the only real downside was that;

You get the initial tang of strawberry, which is nice. Tart, tangy, sweet.. but once that disappears, the coconut milk takes over. It has a slight "fatty" texture and taste, almost a savory flavour.

I want to nail this recipe, and thanks again!

I heard wool has to have the fibers treated with chemical's to pass the flame standards. Food for thought

Hi Alison,

Thanks to your exhaustive research, you saved me tons of computer time. I am 95% sure I'm going to buy a Saavy Mattress (as soon as my husband finds a job!) and I saw that they offer a referral credit. I'd love for your to get that. If you want to e-mail me the info. they'd require (you can ask them), I'd be more than happy to do so!
Here's the info. from their site:
Friends tell their friends and family about products that are supportive to their health and well being, and good businesses grow by word of mouth. We want to show our thanks to customers who have purchased a Savvy Rest and who share the news about our product.

Once you purchase a mattress from us, we'll send you up to $100 or two Savvy Rest pillows when you refer someone to us who also purchases a Savvy Rest mattress. Be sure that they tell us you sent them and provide your name and address. Your Referral Reward is $100 or two pillows for a Queen or larger mattress, and $50 or one pillow for a Twin or Full.

Thanks!
Beth
